Description: GSFC works with schools and community organizations to provide this FREE service to help students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the federal application for financial aid (grants, work-study and loans) to pay for college. Learn what documentation is needed, how to get started and what happens once you’ve submitted the application.
GEAR UP Georgia is excited to offer Princeton Review ACT and SAT test prep classes to GEAR UP Georgia students in the Spring 2022 Semester. Classes are virtual with a live Princeton Review Instructor.
Please complete the online form at least 48 hours prior to the class start time to register for Princeton Review test prep.

GEAR UP Georgia and Usher’s New Look (UNL) are joined by a common purpose of ensuring that students participating in the GEAR UP Leadership Academy virtual enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, focused on leadership, spark (talent) development, financial literacy, career development, and college readiness.
The bi-weekly, hour and a half long sessions will take place on Tuesday’s at 6pm, twice a month. The GEAR UP Leadership Academy youth are dynamic high schoolers from
various counties in Georgia.

LEADERSHIP| COMMUNITY BUILDING | PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT |MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Usher’s New Look and GEAR UP Georgia partnered to offer GEAR UP Ambassadors monthly enrichment workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 school year focused on leadership, community building, personal and professional development, and mental health awareness. The Ambassadors will have access to the GEAR UP Leadership Academy sessions and other UNL offerings including First Friday Scholarship Check-Ins, Spark Days, and more.
Monthly hour-long sessions will take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and optional virtual check-ins for the remainder of the month.
Dates: All sessions are from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Due to college admissions policies and scholarship requirements, taking the ACT/SAT is a must-to-do for high school seniors. GEAR UP Georgia has test prep and SAT fee waivers to help you.
